The Addams Family
The Addams Family is back like you’ve never seen them before. Odd, strange and a little spooky, the family is back, but this time on the stage. The Addams Family musical is sure to strike fear in the hearts of all viewers.
Kooky and cool, the family is thrust into a musical comedy with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, the Tony Award nominee. The show has several big names that take the stage, including:
- Carre Hope Fletcher, who plays Wednesday
- Cameron Blakely, who plays Gomez
- Les Dennis as the iconic Uncle Fester
- Samantha Womack as Morticia
- Les Dennis as Uncle Fester
- Valda Aviks as Grandma
- Grant McIntyre, who plays Pugsley
- Dickon Gough, who plays Lurch
The musical is a little different. You won’t be thrown into the middle of a television show. No, not at all. You’ll be following Wednesday’s story as she is the show’s princess of darkness. That’s right, she isn’t a creepy little girl any longer – she’s now a creepy adult.
And she has a secret.
The secret that she holds will unravel during the musical, but there is already one person who knows it: Gomez.
Wednesday has found love, and it’s with someone no one expects. The lucky young man comes from a respectable family. And it’s not the love that is going to cause a conflict – it’s the meeting. Gomez keeps his wife Morticia from finding out Wednesday’s secret.
Or, that’s what the viewers think.
It’s a night of laughs and love, and no one knows if Gomez can keep the secret. You see, he has to keep the secret until the two families meet. The problem is he trips up along the way, making the night a hysterical one.
Wednesday knows better than to think that her night will go 100% according to plan. She doesn’t know that the dinner will have consequences that will leave everyone laughing but her.
Family and friendship are the cornerstones of the show, and a live orchestra will be present. An original score will also be played that embodies the story of Wednesday’s love.
The cast is phenomenal and joins a long list of ensembles that make the event unforgettable. Character creation was all done by Charles Addams, and the choreography was done by Alistair David. Diego Pitarch is the designer with Matthew White directing the musical.
James Orange did a spectacular job as casting director, bringing the beloved story to theatres near you.
